WHY I ASK FOR AN INQUIRY

It has come to my attention in our Senate district 10 of Las Vegas by a lot of residents here that the Las Vegas Metro Police Department is violating many civil rights of Americans.

Illegally detaining folks for routine stops with or without cause.

Illegal searches without permission.

Illegally profiling people.

Illegal police entrapments

We also have many complaints from motorists who are complaining that Metro is also checking ID's of everyone in a vehicle without cause.

It has been no doubt that Metro PD has now developed a bad reputation with the public it is sworn to protect...and they are violating basic American Civil Rights of Americans and have disregarded the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Therefore, I promise, as your next Nevada State Senator, I will immediately call for an inquiry into the Las Vegas Metro Police Department and the policies that are expected of their employess and police officers or if we have rogue officers on our streets.

There will be "No Mercy" for those who are sworn to "protect": you and breaking the law. Our peace officers will be held to a higher degree of penalty for criminal acts that they commit.

For those police officers that do follow the law and respect the United States Constitution, I applaud their efforts on our streets.

I am not saying we dont have good police officers...I am saying we have what appears to be an abundance of those who take our rights as a hinderance for them to find something wrong or to harrass people.

IT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED BY THIS SENATOR!

THEIR DAY OF ABUSE IS NUMBERED WITH YOUR VOTE FOR ME AS YOUR SENATOR.

Again, those who do respect the constitution will be applauded equally.
WE must restore the public trust in our police.

Also for those who think I am picking on Metro...here is a candidate for Sheriff who also feels there is some corruption going on within the Las Vegas Metro Sheriffs Department..

I WAS A COP FOR NINE YEARS AND I HAVE BEEN A BONDSMAN FOR 14 YEARS. I KNOW PERSONALLY THE CORRUPTION HERE IN VEGAS, BEING A VICTIM OF SHERIFF GILLESPIE! I WILL RESTORE INTEGRITY BACK INTO METRO AND MAKE A COP A PUBLIC SERVANT AGAIN. I NEED YOUR HELP TO WIN THE PRIMARY! IF ANOTHER METRO OFFICER IS ELECTED, IT WILL BE BUSINESS AS USUAL. Its Time we Revamp the way that Las Vegas Police treat the citizens of Las Vegas! How about starting with a word called "RESPECT"!
