Soloe For Senate District 10 Las Vegas

Letters From My Readers:

This was correspondence message between someone who contacted me and myself starting with the initial message. please read!

Subject: You are an idiot
Even if you manage to pass a bill in the Nevada legislature that legalized marijuana use for anyone, it is still a federally controlled substance. In other words, it would do nothing. Running for state legislature in Nevada with that as your sole platform is an idiotic move. No one will vote for your brain dead ass.

you missed the whole point...freedom and the Bill of Rights is paramount, those who would give up liberties for a measure of security, deserve either.
Name calling someone an idiot because you don't agree with them is your right and I support that right no matter how misguided.

and...who said this was my sole platform?

but I am glad you asked.

I have a lot of ideas that I think are better than what we currently have...but first...to address your concern about the feds...if we used your analogy that the feds are against it, therefore we shouldn't try undermines what "states rights" are about and the United States Constitution and all the things that this country was founded on.

Also, for example, med marijuana is also illegal on the fed level but we still have 13 states that have it and use it, and the fed is becoming more lenient towards them and their right to have it, but if Cali voters, the first state with med mj took your view, we wouldn't be making this progress at all...(idiotic is an opinion, that may be tested).

If you have been reading my posts or been to my website you will know that I am a firm believer in the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Next, I would like to eliminate government mandated auto insurance.
So, now that you see that I take and give much thought to things before I just spurt them out there. Let's go forward.

I find it fundamentally unconstitutional for any government to make any law that requires a citizen to purchase a product from a private business. period. I don't like the idea of people driving and damaging my vehicle and not being able to pay for the damages either, so I would simply put an appropriate tax on each gallon of gas sold at time of purchase that would be solely put into an insurance fund that would pay for damages caused in our state.

This would allow little ole grannies who drive only once a week to church or the store, and not on the road much to pay their fair share for insurance so they are not taking food or rent money out of their pockets to pay for insurance they never use.

It would also free up our police and court system to actually deal with criminals. Most people who dont have insurance simply cant afford it and to brand them as some kind of criminal and to fine them more is making lives difficult.

Next, I would like to talk about health care, food stamps, paying rent and utilities in one ball of wax...and here is what I think.

Let's take our social security account and convert it to a "real" account.
Let's let people do public service, existing govt jobs, recycling, etc., so they can actually do things in and for their community for somewhat real wages that would be deposited into their social security account and that they can use for doctors visits, food, utility bills, rent. Those things just mentioned that is essential to living.

How much better would it be where we reward those and hold them accountable who actually go out and have the ability to not worry how to pay for these essentials.
No one has to do this, but it would sure take a load off of peoples minds knowing they have a way to keep a roof over their children's head, feed them and take them to the doctor when they get sick.

So, essentially...were asking people to contribute to society and in return you have paid your way back to society. The homeless problem would considerably ease as well if they had a way to make rent money and all the empty houses and apartments would be not so empty. The effect would be dominoic.

We could talk about the details...but we have to do something.

Me! one issue....????
Peace...
Billy

Well, outside of that I would have added this is like the way you raise your kids. You provide them food, roof over their head and healthcare when they are sick. They in return do chores and odd jobs around the house. Why wouldn't we run our government in the same fashion but on a larger scale? If it is good for our family, I think it would be good enough for our government.
